Master Plan Update

The Sioux Gateway Airport Board of Trustees recommended to the City Council to accept the Grant Agreement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in connection to the Master Plan Update at the Sioux Gateway Airport / Brigadier General Bud Day Field.

City staff is currently working with RS&H Iowa, P.C. in connection to the Master Plan Update. Milestones will include input from stakeholders, advisory committees, and the community. To learn more about the Master Plan Update, click on the link below.

Notice of Public Scoping - Runway Program / Environmental Assessment

 

Beginning May 7, 2025, if you're planning to travel by commercial plane, you must show a REAL ID compliant license or identification card (ID) at the airport, or comply with TSA by providing additional and accepted documentation including increased security checks which may cause delay. Date was extended to 2023 due to COVID-19.
